Radical Witness

One of the most prolific hindrances to participating in Jesus’ ministry here on earth is the fallacious idea that a Believer needs additional qualifications beyond what God already gave them. In contemporary Christianity, it seems that anyone who does ministry with the same simplicity Jesus did is radical. Most people are more interested to know which university one graduated from, how long one has been a Christian leader and one’s denominational affiliation and accreditation.

In this revolutionary book, prolific author and bible teacher, Sam Tita, delivers the third installment of his PREvail Trilogy with boldness and clarity. This book will change your view of ministry and push you to fulfill God’s call on your life.

The effectiveness of Jesus’ ministry was unprecedented, yet the Pharisees called Him a radical. In Radical Witness, you will learn to do ministry as Jesus did. But brace yourself— your church friends may stop taking your phone calls because they think you’ve changed!

Chapter 1:

Is Prayer emotional Babbling?

Welcome to the beginning of a supercharged life of walking with, and serving God. In John 10:10b, Jesus makes this powerful declaration concerning His followers:

“I have come that they (you and I) may have life and that they (you and I) may have it more abundantly.” (NKJV – emphasis mine)
While every follower of Jesus is covenanted to spend eternity with Him, the abundant life He promises in the Scripture verse above will never be appropriated by a Believer who fails to enter a deep and meaningful relationship with Him. Every promise Jesus has made to His followers is predicated on you and I diligently seek after Him. For example, in Matthew 6:31-33 Jesus says:

“…So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

A very important component of the abundant life package Jesus offers in John 10:10 is this incredibly reassuring promise found in Romans 8:28:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who Prevail have been called according to his purpose. In this promise, God makes a personal covenant with each Believer individually, to move heaven and earth, if that is what it takes to orchestrate a positive outcome even from the most painful circumstances. However, there are two conditions:
1. You must love God
2. You must be called for His purpose.

The above conditions are easy to fulfill if one takes their relationship with God seriously. Loving God is not a feeling of euphoria that overwhelms the mind and physiology. Rather, it is a decision that is compelled, even demanded, by the fact that God gave up His most precious gift to humanity, as the ultimate demonstration of His love for us.

Many claim to love God by their words but not by their actions. To make it simple and understandable to everyone, Jesus says in John 14:15:

“If you love me, keep my commands.”

It doesn’t get any simpler or clearer than that. The second condition is just as easy to fulfill. Here God says He will turn everything you experience for good in your life if you are called for His purposes. This is a real stumbling block for many Christians, many of whom still inquire about God’s purpose for their lives even after 10 years of walking with God. Just to be clear, Ephesians 2:10 states:

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God created you and me to serve Him in a supernatural scheme far too grand to be humanly comprehensible. We participate by being active in ministry around our talents.

Introduction

When we are not serving God in line with His purpose, we disqualify ourselves from partaking in the abundant life and are in no position to expect that all things will work out for our good.

Seeking after Jesus transcends the occasional attention many Believers throw at Him on Sundays and special holidays like Christmas. To seek is to search out; to press into; to labor over; to make a concerted effort; to be intentional; to determine in your heart that nothing in this world is worth more of your time than the things that God is concerned about.

That is why Jesus made this seemingly abrasive statement in Matthew 10:37:

“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

He made this statement so that there would be no room for misunderstanding His position and importance in our lives in relation to everything and everyone else. The fascinating thing in all this is that when we put Him first, everything else that we cherish in life that is in alignment with His will for our lives is added to us. This translates to health and wellness, financial provision and success, spiritual and emotional wellbeing, and every good thing God has made available to His people. Such provision is available in abundant measure to those who seek God, understand His character, and take His word prima facie.
The great news is that you have made that commitment to put God first, not just by your words (because words are cheap and can be used anyhow), but also by your actions. Take comfort in this simple yet powerful truth – God will reward you as per His word in Hebrews 6:11 which states:

“…for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

What is Prevail?

In many years of doing ministry, one of the most recurring themes I have encountered among seasoned Believers is the one that they are unsure about what God would have them do for Him. Interestingly, many of these Believers find themselves in this position, even while serving at their local church and volunteering at other places.

The only logical conclusion derived after one ponders the above dilemma is that deep down there is a particular assignment God has placed on the heart of each Believer. Often, this assignment is separate and apart from the Matthew 28 call to preach the gospel which is directed at every Believer. The fulfillment of this unique assignment does however both enhance and enable one’s effectiveness in preaching the Gospel.

If this assignment continues to go unaddressed, it breeds a deep sense of dissatisfaction in the heart of the bearer of the assignment. That seems to be how God intended it to be. If ignored for a prolonged time span, it can lead to confusion and even depression in the life of a Believer. This may happen because there is a battle between the mind and the spirit. The spirit compels us towards the things of God and His purpose for our lives, while the mind drags us towards the lusts of this world which are capable of disrupting our destinies. Few people can harbor that level of conflict within themselves without suffering emotionally.

PREvail™ is an intensive three-part action plan designed for believers who are desperately hungry for the things of God. Whether you have been saved for 30 days or 30 years, this program is designed to accelerate your walk with God, with the goal of guiding you into a fruitful and joyful personal ministry dedicated to fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.

God created us for His purposes and called us to love and serve Him fully and intentionally. Using radical principles of acceleration from the Scriptures, PREvail™ will thrust you forward into your purpose, which is really God’s purpose for you.

PREvail™ is more than just a course or a program. It is not designed to supply you with more information about your Christianity. There is an abundance of reading material on the market to educate you about your Christian walk. Your biggest challenge might be narrowing them down to which ones to read.

PREvail™ on the other hand is purposed to rapidly take you through three powerful spheres of understanding, leading up to and culminating in a life devoted to serving the most merciful, the most powerful, and the most loving person in the world, that being Jesus Christ.

Every Believer is called to serve God. By virtue of this divine call, we are led by His Holy Spirit to prevail over everything in this world. Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Action Plan Sessions Format

Each session will open with an introduction and prayer.
1. Read the resource material for each part and its related book (Radical Prayers Radical Results, Radical Trust, or Radical Witness) prior to attending the session. This will ensure you effectively formulate questions you would like answered during the sessions. It will also deepen your understanding of the material in light of new information that will be shared, which is not contained in the books.

2. During the sessions, make notes in the workbook. These notes will help you ask the right questions on the subject matter during or after the session.

3. If you have specific questions during the session, write them down in the YOUR QUESTIONS section of your notes. It is advisable to refrain from asking questions until the material for that session has been fully presented. This will ensure orderly asking of questions during the question period. You will have every participant’s attention and everyone can fully benefit from your questions.

4. If you have an “Aha!” moment, which means you have a new revelation based on the material presented, please make sure you make a note of it and share it during the question period so everyone can benefit from it. Even if what you sense seems unclear, share it. There will be someone present during the session who will be able to provide encouragement and clarity.

5. Finally, please listen attentively during the presentation. Refrain from speaking with each other in order to avoid being a distraction to others and possibly even miss some of the material. You may be a PREvail™ presenter-in-training without knowing it.

” Jesus did not die to save us merely so that one day we would transit to heaven to live happily ever after. Rather, we were rescued from the Kingdom of Darkness ruled by the Devil, so that we would be restored to our place of divine favor in God, where we had His protection, enjoyed His provision, and had the amazing mandate to rule over everything God had created.”
